TRANSWAVE is the legendary collaboration between Christof Drouillet (aka Absolum) and Frédéric Holyszewski (aka Deedrah). Their journey began in June 1994 at a Paris rave, and just three months later, they released their debut Datura EP on the French label Transpact. What followed was a defining chapter in the history of Goa and psychedelic trance. Transwave went on to release five influential albums: Hypnorhythm (1995), Helium (1996), Phototropic (1996), Backfire (2005), and Frontfire (2007). Their anthem “Land of Freedom” became an international trance classic - later remixed by Liquid Soul and charted by Armin van Buuren cementing their place among the greats of the scene. Famous for their analog-heavy studio setup, with iconic gear like the Roland SH-101 and TB-303, Transwave helped define the golden sound of the ‘90s Goa era alongside acts like Astral Projection, Hallucinogen, X-Dream, and Man With No Name. With powerful live shows and a timeless sound that blends emotion, energy, and complexity, Transwave remains a cornerstone of psychedelic trance history - a project that shaped the genre and continues to inspire new generations.
