Marcus C. Maichel and Jan Mueller aka X-DREAM also known as Rough & Rush. The pioneers of space techno and probably the most iconic live act of the psychedelic trance scene, the originators of techno trance and full on. They are considered the most influential act of the scene since the early 90’s till now. Based in Germany, Marcus C. Maichel and Jan Mueller began writing together in 1989 and first recorded as X-Dream in 1991. Marcus was influenced by electro, hip hop and reggae; he started making electronic music in 1986. Mueller trained as a sound engineer towards the end of the 80’s and the pair met up to work on a session together in 1989. At first they concentrated on a techno sound having some material released on Tunnel Records. However, after experiencing the trance scene in Hamburg during the early 90s, they switched to that style and subsequently made a number of releases under such names as The Delta, Children Of Paradise, The Pollinator, Moondust and XME over the next few years.
